Hi everyone. What have I been doing since the last book update? Well, I’m now emersed in extreme tedium.

The good news – the book is finished. The final version of the story has been sent to the publishers at the end of last week. To get there several hundred words were cut, 8000+ were added and everything was read through twice by me to ensure good grammar and the right language selection.

The exciting bit is creating a story. Going back through that story time after time can get a little, well, testing. When you read a book and you enjoyed it, it might get read again in a year or so. You wouldn’t read it in a loop back-to-back to back.

Nethertheless, we persevere. So now the book is with the publisher it is being proofread. This means that someone with more skill and patience than me reads through my text line by line. Checking for errors (grammatical, spelling and so on). This will be interesting as there are loads of colloquialisms, structurally incorrect speech and cuss words in the book. I was trying to capture authentic sounding voices to the characters.

Bottomline this phase is estimated to take 4-8 week. Due to the obscene number of holidays planned for the end of the year, I think that a 2026 book release is most realistic. I’ll let you know when we move on to the next phase – book layout design.
